These changes add new properties to Dexterity and update Snapdash to reduce the effectiveness of a retreating player’s ability to punish. If you haven’t played with these test features, know that the game may feel different after this update, and we’re watching the results of these changes very closely. We will continue to iterate on these features as we gather more and more feedback. Dexterity Update Weapon durability now has the additional property of being correlated to Dexterity. Higher Dexterity Legends will be more difficult to disarm, while lower Dexterity Legends will be disarmed more easily. The original effect of Dexterity (modifying recovery frames of attacks) remains unchanged. Snapdash Update A snapdash is a dash that snaps your legend to a platform. This occurs when you try to dash while you’re a little bit above a platform while falling down to it, or when you are almost all the way through a soft platform as you are rising through it. Previous to this update, you would always perform a forward dash when snap dashing, no matter what direction you were facing. Performing a falling pivot snapdash will now result in a backdash. The original effect of a rising pivot snapdash (onto a soft platform) remains unchanged. Backdashing with enough forward momentum will now take longer (12 frames up from 9 frames). The original effect of a standing backdash (with no momentum) remains unchanged (9 frames). The maximum amount of distance someone can snapdash was reduced by 40%. These changes keep the effectiveness of forward snapdashing as an approach tool, while limiting a retreating player’s ability to punish. Starting with the next ranked season on March 25, we have some changes to Ranked 2v2, Ranked 3v3, and how Glory is earned. Glory Distribution Glory will now be awarded throughout the season instead of only at the end of the season. Which means you will be awarded immediately for your performance and can get things throughout the season from the Ranked tab in Mallhalla. Ranked 2v2 Solo Queue As promised at the 2025 Brawlhalla World Championship Expo, the ability to solo queue in Ranked 2v2 is here! We still recommend bringing a friend as a teammate, but now you won’t have to. Ranked 3v3 Placement Matches To be in line with Ranked 1v1 & 2v2, we are adding placements to the Ranked 3v3 queue for the start of the ranked seasons. Play 10 matches to get placed in your first rank, then climb from there! New Ranked Emote We’re celebrating the Ranked updates with a new Emote! Glorified Emote Show off your Glory during a match! Purchasable with Glory in the Ranked tab in Mallhalla. We’ve updated our report system! Now, when reporting a player or a guild, you just have to select the issue from a list of categories. This update simplifies the reporting process and makes it easier for us to take appropriate action.
